Cindy, I have been thinking for a time now how I really need to share some things with you. I feel as though you are a big sister to me, walking and talking with me nearly everyday lately. It must be strange for you to hear that from people you have never met before. :) I wanted you to know how God has been using you. At first I thought I would write and tell you how wonderful you are but really the Glory goes to God and your obedience to him is what makes all the difference.
Something funny happened the other day...I had bought an MP3 player that I could take with me when I went running so I could listen to your podcasts. It's difficult to find time during the day to listen to them with chores, schooling, and just being a mommy. I figured my running time would be the best opportunity to listen. Well, what happened was something I didn't expect. As I was listened I found myself crying along with you, your struggles being so transparent, your pain being something I could relate to (I was listening to something about your struggles with your marriage and having many miscarriages). So here I was, running on a busy street in our town, with tears streaming down my face! So maybe the podcasts aren't the best thing to listen to while running! I have to tell you that your ministry has been the "Godly Big Sister" to me that I have been praying for. I feel my heart ministered to. You have helped me to see what the heart of a mommy should be crying out to the Lord for. That sounds like something moms should just know instinctively but I seem to struggle with that and your ministry has helped. See, I didn't grow up in a Christian home and I do not have an instinctive foundation on which to pull from on how to be a wife and mommy. Your ministry is quickly becoming both of those things for me...again, thank you for being so transparent and willing to use your own struggles to teach others.

What is Needed...AND Why???
Just
Get Ready...
You (and a friend or two!)
Your Computer
Your Headset
Headset...
We recommend that you use a headset/microphone such
as those sold by Logitech--you can find them at Wal-mart. The reason for
this small investment is so that you can be a part of the dialogue
mom-to-mom. Whereas there is a text chat feature in our Conference Room,
it is SO nice to join in the conversation--sometimes talking is so much
more expressive.
You
definitely want to have computer speakers plugged into your computer
during these studies. You would miss SO much by not having the audio
capability.
Now...note!
If you have a hard time at any point in the study with the audio portion
of the workshop, be sure to make sure that none of these problems are
keeping the audio from sounding its best on your computer:
 Your headset is plugged in
correctly and turned up
Your audio settings in your
control panel are turned up to a comfortable level
The settings on the bottom
left-hand side of the Conference Room are turned to a comfortable level
Your computer has recently had
a nice DISK CLEAN UP and DISK DEFRAGMENT
You have used
anti-spyware/anti-virus programs to be sure that your system does not have
malware, viruses, or spyware slowing down your system
You are not trying to use
other programs of your computer while you are signed into a workshop
session
Your computer has had a
fresh re-boot prior to the class.
If you experience any technical difficulties,
we recommend that you try the following:
Shut Down the CONFERENCE ROOM
and re-open.
Still problems? Shut Down Your
Computer and re-boot
Still
problems? Sometimes the installation process becomes corrupt and you'll
get this error. Here's what you do.
- Uninstall the conference room by going to Start
> Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
- Go to C:/ > Program Files and look for a folder
named 'Conference'. Delete the folder (yes it's safe)
- Re-install the software and try
again.
NOTE: Please do not skip step 2. If you reinstall
without deleting the Conference folder, you'll likely end up with the same
error.

are more than welcome to check out the video tutorials to explain how
everything works. I am still learning the ropes. I hope I know enough to
keep us all going! I think it will be fun! BUT…if you have a hard time or
you want to set up your own conference room
(contact Lynette), here is the link:
Click to begin download or copy/paste into
your internet browser and click ENTER. It will only take a few minutes to
download into your computer, but you want to do it ahead of time so you
don’t miss a minute in the Conference Room.
After it is downloaded on your computer, it
will set up an icon on your desktop that says CONFERENCE. Then, you will
only have to click it to open up the room. Here are your instructions from
there:
When you are ready to enter, you will enter
your
NAME or EMAIL ADDRESS in the first
blank.
Add the following information when
prompted:
Name
of Room: Talk-a-Latte
Password: letschat
Do Note! If our
room is being used for another study, the password will not work and you
won't be able to get into the room until the day of the chat.

all possible to hear you online. A friend of mine had introduced you to me
a few years back and ever since, Ive been enjoying your e zines and
website and such. I have seen how your business has grown soo much over
the years...bless your heart, and thank the Lord for your ideas and
encouragement in our families homeschooling journey! Living in the middle
of the ocean in Hawaii, we don't have access to very many LIVE
homeschooling conferences and the internet is sometimes our only means to
something close to a "conference". Although,

Cindy, I am needing encouragement at the
moment - our lives have been so disrupted for the last 2 years that the
girls missed loads of table time - we have a lot to do - and it is scary.
Like I said before all your books and ideas are a huge and welcome gift
from the heavens to people like me, floundering about in chaos. We move
into our new home on 26 June and we are so excited, but also oh so busy -
packing yet again and then unpacking and trying to make a beautiful nest
for us to settle in. However, every time I get one of your newsletters I
feel newly inspired and capable - and my faith is strengthened - bless you
for that. One of these days I am going to have to meet you and give you a
huge hug!!
Anyway -
again, how wonderful to be able to listen to you and your guests online
whenever we want to and whenever we need that special encouragement that
only Cindy can deliver - yet another treat from the Rushton clan. God
bless you and look forward to hearing lots of wonderful things from now

We have homeschooled for six years now and I cannot
say that I have ever been as encouraged as I am when I am reading your
writings. You truly show others what a homeschool family is...something
more than doing academics at home. My hearts' desire all along has been to
homeschool as a way of life, a form of living and learning together. You
are so encouraging in this area, everyday I feel a renewed excitement for
our children, a joy in the journey that I never want to end. Thank you for
your ministry, you have blessed our family far and
wide.

Dear Cindy,
I am so
thankful for all the things you make available to me. I dissect and devour
each and everyone. You keep my spirit afloat. I am down most of the time.
( resulting from consequences of past sins) Yet when I read your words and
learn from you what God has said to you. I face another day with renewed
hope. Thank you for allowing God to speak through you. I know these storms
will pass. I have reached the end of my rope but have tied a knot in it
and God has the other end in His hands. Please continue what you do
knowing your helping a real person through some difficult times.
